Security is a fundamental aspect of our Virtual Data Rooms that must be ensured at several levels:
With our “pdf.viewer” system you can choose to make files viewable to certain users but not savable or printable, making it impossible for files to be retrieved from the computer’s temporary files.
Each page of the PDF file, whether on-screen or in print, comes stamped with either a “static” or “variable” watermark that reports the username of the user, date and time of download, IP address of the computer and any other information that you choose to add.
It’s possible to create different levels of access, management and viewing of the documentation, even down to each individual folder.
You can choose to allow only on-screen viewing and prevent saving and printing of each single file in your VDR. In addition, you can choose to provide saving and printing rights only to a limited group of users.
An advanced feature that allows documents to be downloaded in the VDR in modifiable formats like Word and Excel (if you have manager rights) and to make the same document viewable but unmodifiable (in PDF form) to those with only viewer rights. With this system you can avoid having to convert documents to PDF in order to make them uneditable by other users.
Each registered VDR user will not automatically be admitted to the VDR. Only after verification by the Data Room Manager and the assignment of rights will the user be able to access confidential information, view files and submit questions.
The Client can choose the level of security to apply to each user’s password: length of password, use of special characters, if frequent password updates are required, the insertion of a “captcha” at each login, etc.
To strengthen the confidentiality of the VDR you can publish (pre-login or post-login) your Disclaimer and ask all users to read and accept it before viewing the documentation. You can publish the disclaimer in different languages or use different disclaimers for each phase of due diligence.
Our Virtual Data Rooms run on secure servers. We use SSL security protocols, so all of the information exchanged between the VDR and the Internet are encrypted continuously (with the exception of email), and protected with the Extended Validation (EV) SSL Certificate, certified by VeriSign®.
Speed of access is guaranteed by fiber optic circuits between Multipartner’s control room and the server farm.
The server farm that hosts our server is certified and security of the data is guaranteed by a system of identity management and control of physical access to the server farm.
There are no internet bandwith restrictions for downloads or uploads.
