The Server Farm

Multipartner’s web based Virtual Data Room platform runs on its own servers in housing at COLT, European leader in providing data, sound and managed services, and only operator of the sector to dispose of its own European fiber optics network.

This choice also guarantees a high quality service, homogeneous in the whole Europe, as well as in North America, where COLT reaches with its personal fiber optics owned line. The server farm is certified by an external Authority and meets the specifications BS7799 (ISO 17799). The server farm is monitored 24/7 by the COLT Network Operations Centre.

The Control Room is accessible exclusively to our technical and administrative staff and to the company’s advisors. In case of malfunctioning of the fiber optics circuits, the Control Room can count on broadband backup lines provided by different providers other than COLT.

The server farm is operating 24/7 guaranteeing business continuity, that is, the continuous functioning of all the active Virtual Data Rooms, and therefore the possibility to access the VDR and all its contents even in case of catastrophic events that may occur in the area where the servers are hosted.

Furthermore, Multipartner disposes of the technology and organization processes necessary to restore all the systems, data and infrastructures in case of emergencies (disaster recovery), through alternative sites, back up methods, equipment substitution and team responsibility.

Secure access to the Virtual Data Rooms

Multipartner’s Virtual Data Rooms are protected with Security Protocol SSL – Secure Socket Layer (the same used by the major banks for online transactions). All information exchanged online is continuously encrypted and protected with EV-Extended Validation certificate, released by VeriSign, primary international certification authority.

  • Access to the VDR through a “verified” procedure: access to the Virtual Data Room, unless agreed otherwise with the Client, is subject to individual registration by each user, followed by data verification and role assignment by the Data Room Manager. For the first log-in it is necessary to insert a verification code that is sent by email.
  • Different viewing roles: it is possible to create one or more viewing roles that allow selective and differentiated access to the content of the VDR. Viewing roles can be customized according to the Client’s needs, and applied to any section of the VDR (page, folder, file, video, photo gallery, etc.).
  • Possibility to discriminate access according to the user’s IP address
  • Maximum document protection: it is possible to disable the printing and saving of all or some documents in the data room, allowing the user only to view them “on video”, and avoiding to save the documents in the “temporary files” of the user’s computer.
  • Static or dynamic watermark: on each page (whether the document can be printed or just viewed) a dynamic watermark can be applied with the user’s Name and Surname, time and date in which the document was downloaded, as well as the computer’s IP address. The watermark can also be static, showing a text and/or a logo, as agreed during the set up phase of the VDR.
  • FTP/FTPS folder for the secure and rapid exchange of electronic documents to upload onto the VDR.
