The Maison Coretti is established in 1998 with the creation of a line of shoes and accessories with a very accurate and refined choice of materials, and in January ’99 the first Coretti high fashion shoe collection is launched. Marco starts his activity as a designer following Moschino’s advise, who immediately notices his originality, his exclusive taste for high fashion. Since the beginning Marco ties his name to Rome, participating to the fashion shows in agenda of the Italian National Chamber of Fashion, but his collaborations are international, and his creations are photographed by the greatest photographers in the world met by Marco in Paris, Gian Paolo Barbieri, Michel Comte, Severine Queyras…
His professional relation with AltaModa AltaRoma is intense and rich and makes Marco Coretti a brand with a strong cultural identity which recalls the knowledge and the fashion excellence of the Roman Haute Couture.
Marco Coretti since the beginning is synonymous of extreme taste and elegance: absolute and pure white to outline his vision of “new chic”, joint also with the extravagance of collections with exotic light, lines and colours. With the last 2008-09 Fall/Winter collection, presented at AltaRoma AltaModa, Marco reaches his full aesthetic maturity. All the collection is oriented to the extreme elegance, to the most true beauty, to the most essential tailor’s handcraft, clear. Night blue, black, white, handmade embroidery, transparencies: the quintessence of luxury, represented in the design, in the forms, in the colours, in the garment’s vital sensuality.
The collection is an explicit tribute to the great French designer Yves Saint Laurent, recently passed away, who has always been an inspirer of Coretti’s creations… the brand Marco Coretti is now more than ever a sign of an austere beauty, full of charm, of an extremely refined luxury.
